Your first ride in five minutes
How do I sign up?
Download the Scootie app from the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR on any scooter to open the web rider. Create an account with your email — you can add your payment method during the first top-up.
Do I need to download the app?
No. Every scooter has a QR sticker that opens our mobile web rider. The app gives you ride history and easier payment, but walk-up riding is one scan away.
Where can I find a scooter?
The app map shows every available scooter in Nikiti with battery level. Parking zones are highlighted — that’s where scooters live when nobody’s riding them.

Do I need a helmet?
Helmets are strongly recommended and required by Greek law for under-18 riders. We ask every rider to confirm helmet use before the ride starts.
How fast can the scooters go?
Top speed is capped at 25 km/h on open roads. Inside slow zones (shown in amber on the map, near the beach and the plateia) the scooter automatically limits to 12 km/h.
Can I ride on the sidewalk?
No. Greek law requires e-scooters to ride on the road or designated bike lanes. Sidewalks are for pedestrians — and very common on beach streets.

Where to end your ride
Where can I park?
In any purple parking zone on the map. We have zones at the plateia, the marina, the beach entrance, and a few spots along the coast. You can’t end a ride outside a zone.
Why does it ask for a photo?
Ending a ride requires a photo of the parked scooter. This keeps the fleet tidy and helps the next rider find it — it also protects you if someone damages it after you leave.
Issues with a scooter
Something wrong? Tell us.
The scooter won’t unlock
Check your connection and that you scanned the right QR. If it still won’t unlock, tap “Report issue” in the app — we’ll release any hold on your account and flag the scooter for our team.
I found a damaged scooter
Open the scooter’s page in the app and tap “Report”. Pick the problem from the list, add a photo if you can. You won’t be charged for starting a ride on a broken scooter.
Your account
Wallet, history, privacy
How do I top up my wallet?
Wallet tab → choose €5, €10, €20 or €50. We use Stripe — your card details never touch our servers.
How do I delete my account?
Profile → Privacy & Safety → Delete account. We erase your profile immediately and anonymise ride records after 30 days, as GDPR requires.
